Welcome to InBrief Winter 2017

Happy New Year to all our clients and contacts.

2017 looks set to be a year which is dominated by the ongoing discussion of Brexit terms. Here at a county level we don’t fully understand the implications this will have in the short term, but we hope it will eventually bring opportunities for all our clients.

If you would like any help considering the implications Brexit may have on your business, for example on your existing contracts or your staff, we would be happy to chat through. There is certainly no harm in being prepared for whatever the future throws at us.

Planning ahead and being prepared is the theme of Alex Astley’s article on page 5, where he takes a look at Lasting Powers of Attorney. Planning for later life is vital and it is never too soon to consider your options.

We also take a look at some topical issues for the rural community on page 6 and 7 and to Agri Expo, which takes place on 1st March 2017 at the Kent County Showground. We will once again have a stand, so please do pop along for a chat. It is always great to see the farming community out in force ahead of spring and the busy routine of the farming calendar which awaits them.

Finally, we once again celebrate our achievements and recognition in the annual publication of the Chambers Directory 2017.

We wish all of our clients a prosperous 2017.
