RBLI Tommy in the Window campaign success - update
Last week we brought you good news of the successful fundraising campaign launched by Aylesford charity and Gullands’ client Royal British Legion Industries. Ahead of the 75th anniversary of VE Day on Friday 8 May they had launched The VE Day Tommy in the Window campaign and by the 4th May sales totalled a staggering £137,000, taking the overall campaign total to £504,000. We can now update this and as of yesterday, Sunday 10 May, that total had reached over £1 million.
Blair Gulland who is also a Trustee of RBLI comments: “We saw on Friday the country get into the spirit of the lockdown 75th VE Day celebrations and we are delighted the public have stepped up to support the work of RBLI at this time. The campaign has been a fantastic success and we are grateful for all of the work of the team at RBLI.”
