Gullands Strengthens Commercial Team with Two New Appointments
Sarah joined in February and is a highly experienced commercial and corporate solicitor with expertise in dealing with a wide range of complex transactional documentation.
Commenting on her appointment, Sarah Astley said: “I am delighted to have joined Gullands to bolster its corporate and commercial services. We expect my experience and know-how to prove helpful for a wide range of businesses that would like assistance with supporting and leading commercial transactions. I have already started to get to know a number of clients and can assist businesses with everything from incorporation and establishment, to day-to-day running issues and selling up.”
Barrie Jones also joined in February and is working closely with Sarah on a number of projects. Barrie is a commercial property expert and acts for investors, developers, landlords and landowners.
Previously with highly regarded Newcastle practice Dickinson Dees and before that international firms Field Fisher Waterhouse and Linklaters, Barrie brings considerable experience of major transactions to the firm.
“The role presents me with an exciting opportunity to be closely involved with local clients,” said Barrie. “The market in commercial property is showing signs of recovery and we are seeing evidence that people are once again looking for opportunities. As confidence grows, clients naturally want the best possible service at an affordable price, and I expect my City expertise and commercial approach to be highly relevant to investors and developers across Kent.”
Gullands Chairman Blair Gulland said: “These are exciting times for Gullands. Sarah and Barrie both offer a safe pair of hands and are calm, measured and pragmatic. I am confident they will make a significant impact as we expand our offering to clients.”
