Gullands march on for the Heart of Kent Hospice

Gullands’ Patrick Bligh and his faithful Labrador Darcey completed a 26k walk on Sunday 9 October to raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice.

Joining over 100 other participants, Patrick and Darcey walked from Teston Bridge and back via Yalding, East Peckham, West Peckham, Nettlestead and Wateringbury, raising over £400 for the hospice.

The Heart of Kent Hospice is an independent charity providing expert care for people and their families facing the challenge of life limiting illness. Gullands’ Partner Alex Astley is also a trustee of the charity.

Patrick comments: “I became involved with the hospice as a result of both Alex and my wife having become trustees. The Heart of Kent Hospice does a brilliant job providing support for families in and around Maidstone and we’re really proud to be able to help in any way that we can. Darcey and I had a great time taking part in the walk and look forward to next year’s event.”
