Gullands change gear to support Save The Children

Gullands Solicitors has made a donation towards a cycling challenge which is raising funds for Save the Children.

The challenge will take place in February 2016 and involves former Ebbsfleet United Player Dean Pooley, who is cycling 470km from Mandalay to Bangkok to raise £3,000 for Save the Children.

Save the Children run world-class programmes to save children’s lives and give children a brighter future. Established nearly a century ago, the charity works in 120 countries to protect the rights of children, directly helping nearly 18 million children in 2014.

For every £1 donated, the charity spends 88p on activities to benefit children, 11p to raise the next £1 and 1p on governance and other costs. This means that if Dean successfully raises £3,000, at least £2,640 will go directly to help the children, with the rest of the funds supporting future campaigns.

Gullands Partner, David Brown comments: “When we saw the mammoth task that Dean is facing to raise money for Save the Children, we were more than happy to help! It’s great to know that so many children will be helped with our donation and we would strongly encourage others to get involved.”
