Cycle4Heroes raises £4,000 for Help for Heroes
Cycle4Heroes the one day, 75km cycle ride around Medway and North Kent, has raised £4,000 for Help for Heroes. The ride took place on Armed Forces Day, Saturday 25th June 2022 with over 40 riders including Chatham MP Tracey Crouch taking part.
Sponsored by Gullands Solicitors and organised by Steve Craddock MBE, the cycle ride started and finished at the Royal Engineers Museum Chatham.
Steve Craddock comments: “We were delighted to have returned to the roads after a two year break due to Covid and we have raised £4,000 for Help for Heroes which is a terrific amount. I would like to thank our main sponsor Gullands Solicitors and also Countrywide Homes, The Bike Warehouse Gillingham and Ben-efit Bikefit Studio who also gave their financial support and time generously and The Castle Inn at Oare and Mews Brewhouse in Iwade for hosting our rest stops. As well as raising money, we are raising awareness for our wounded soldiers – those with physical ailments and/or mental scars from their service. Every single penny raised from this event goes to Help for Heroes.”
John Roberts, Managing Partner at Gullands Solicitors comments: “ We were delighted to have supported Steve and the Cycle4Heroes ride, and congratulations to everyone for taking part and raising £4,000. We hope this will help to make a difference to the lives of those who have risked their own lives to keep our country safe.”
